Romans 12:6 “Your Real Gifts”

God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.

Christmas Eve and many families will be gathered together to celebrate Christmas and share gifts with one another. But sometimes families forget the greatest gift of all is a loving and caring family. A family that treats one another with love, respect and kindness. But you say, “You haven’t met MY family. They take unique to a whole new level!”

If everyone in the world were exactly alike, it would be a boring world! If everyone were good at the same things, we couldn’t blend our gifts together to create good team work. It makes the world an interesting place to have diversity all around us, especially in our families!

God gave you the gift of Christ, but He also gave you unique personal gifts as well. So, how do you know what gifts God gave you that you do well? It’s simple! You study and try different things. If it’s easy to read about a subject, and time flies by, it may be a gift area for you. Then, you try doing other things. If you find a certain thing “easy,” it may be because it comes naturally to you. It may be a gift area. Another clue is you don’t feel like you’re struggling when you’re good at something. When you’re working hard, it seems interesting, and you feel like it’s fun and challenging to do a good job.

Never concern yourself with how much money you can earn by doing what you love. If you truly love what you do, you’ll do the very best you can and financial results will take care of themselves. Remember, you can’t take it with you anyway!

God has blessed you with gifts and it’s your job to “open His present” and discover what those gifts are! When you find out what God gifted you to do, you’ll find a way to apply it productively in your life. Then, find a way to do what you enjoy, and you’ll find life much more meaningful and fulfilling!

Enjoy Christmas Eve, and give your family the gift that keeps on giving...LOVE! Merry Christmas!!

A personal message...

“These devotions were written to my four children, Christian, Mike, Allison and Alex. By the kids allowing these to be shared publicly, our hope is that the devotions will make a positive and eternal difference in the lives of other young people as they mature. Enjoy. Rick Isaacson”
